I found a new (foreclosued) home, paid cash and am now on the road to being mortgage free. I must admit the home needs work, but in the time it takes my lender to evict me, I can save $40,000 towards repairs. In about a year, my wife and I will have an annual savings of $40,000 cash. And that's not to mention our 401K. Life is good!
